Greetings to everyone and thank you for your support of the DIGITAL PORTRAITS (formerly Digital Pet Portraits) brand, which has been growing year after year, for the wonderful comments and sincere and emotional reactions to the portraits we create for you with pleasure, full attention, and dedication.

My name is Nikola and I am the owner of Digital Portraits. You can see Max with me in the photo; he has been with me from the beginning and is also a partial inspiration for starting my business. You see, I initially started creating portraits of pets (hence the original name), but as I increasingly perfected the processing and digital montage techniques, I began creating family portraits as well.

Professionally, I was involved in volleyball for many years, I loved the game and was dedicated to it in the same way and with the same enthusiasm that I now create the portraits you order and love. Unfortunately, due to an injury, I faced the inevitability of ending my sports career and found myself at a moment of uncertainty.

During that period, the pandemic closed halls, streets, and borders, but it opened up space for new ways of thinking. In that silence and unusual isolation, with the daily company of my wife and Max, I decided to step into a completely different world. I completely, for hours and days, learned to work in Photoshop myself — trying, failing, and trying again. That's how my first pieces were created: portraits of pets. I didn't know then that those few stories on canvas would become the foundation of a business that would bring me not only a new career, but also the opportunity to bring closer people who are far away and connect them through photography and create a shared memory despite the kilometers of separation.

Initially, I did everything myself, from design, packaging, shipping, communication with customers, etc. I had my digital photos printed on a contract basis with others, and I ordered materials. After 6 months, the number of orders increased and my father joined me as help with production, printing, and logistics.

Together, we set up the first workshop and started producing images from start to finish. My father still makes real wooden frames on which we stretch the canvas and is responsible for the printing.
After a year, my mother joined us when the number of orders increased, and shortly after her, my wife, who is responsible for managing the networks and communicating with you.

What seemed unattainable, we achieved through teamwork and effort. After 3 years of work, we established production in the EU.

Thus, our family business, in just a few years, transformed from a hobby into a recognizable brand that guarantees quality of workmanship and professionalism in dealing with our customers, but has also retained the warm and direct tone of communication and the connection that is the foundation of our success and what you always recognize and appreciate when working with us.

Emotion on canvas. What we are proud that you always recognize in our portraits, is a reflection of the family values that we ourselves cherish and therefore we invest a lot of effort in each portrait, in order to please another family and make the gift special and the memory lasting.

Over time, we have tried to make it easier for you to communicate, order, develop new products, improve techniques and follow trends in order to satisfy your curiosity and make your imagination and ideas a reality.
